Itinerary

Day 1

Yangon Arrival and Sightseeing (Lunch, Dinner)

Arrive at Yangon International Airport, welcome by our tour guide and transfer to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel and lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, our tour starts at Chauk-htat-gyi Pagoda: a huge image of 66 meters long reclining  Buddha Image in Myanmar. It is generally referred to as a six-tiered pagoda. Then continues to Sule Pagoda( City center of Yangon), located in the heart of downtown, is just one stupa and a stunning key city landmark. Along the way, you will see the City Hall and the Independence Monument is standing in the middle of Mahabandoola Park. Next visit to the most magnificent religious monument of the country, Shwedagon Pagoda, one of Myanmar’s most sacred places. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at hotel in Yangon.

 

Day 2

Yangon-Mandalay by Flight and Mandalay Sightseeing (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out from the hotel. And then transfer to the airport and explore the Mandalay by morning flight. Arrival at Mandalay, check-in at the hotel. And then starts sightseeing at Mandalay’s region, the first visit to Mahamuni Pagoda with its spectacular Buddha image(13 ft- tall seated Buddha) is the most revered Buddha image in Mandalay. Discover the gold leaf workshops, the place that the visitors can witness the entire process of making gold leaf and then we will stop at a local restaurant for lunch. After lunch, we will visit Shwe Nan Daw Monastery(Golden Palace Monastery) in teak wood standing to witness the durability of teak and the carving of the 19th century is still with its ancient mystical beauty and traditional Myanmar Style. Tour continues to Atumashi Monastery, Kuthodaw Pagoda, commonly known as the world’s largest book because of 729 marble slabs of Buddhist scriptures that were erected around the pagoda. Afterward, go to the top of Mandalay Hill, a vantage point for a panoramic view of the city and a spectacular sunset view. It is worthy to have a stroll up the hill enjoying panoramic views from a different location. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

 

Day 3

Amarapura-Sagaing Sightseeing (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

After breakfast at the hotel, the tour starts to U Bein Bridge, 1.2 kilometers of length, the oldest and longest teakwood bridge in the world. Made of teak wood recuperated from the waste of an abandoned palace, accredited to the achievement of the mayor U Bein. After that, learn about Mahagandayon Monastery is famous for its strict religious disciplines with a high reputation consists of more than a thousand monks can be seen at the same time while they have their first meal of the day. Then go to the local restaurant for lunch. U Min Thonze Pagoda( Thirty Caves Pagoda) which has 45 stunning gilded Buddha images in a shaped colonnade and Soon-Oo-Pon-Nya-Shin Pagoda, located at the top of Sagaing Hill. Dinner at a local restaurant. Tour ends for that day and overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.

 

Day 4

Mandalay-Monywa by Car and Monywa Sightseeing (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Monywa, the capital & largest city in Sagaing, 136km north-west of Mandalay about 3 hours by private air-conditioned vehicle. Arrive at Monywa and check into the hotel. Try to taste local foods at a local restaurant. And starts sightseeing to Thanboddhay Pagoda, the unique shape Buddhist temple with more than 500,000 Buddha images. Then the next at Boditahtaung Pagoda has one thousand Bodhi Trees and each tree has a large Buddha Image underneath, the largest reclining Buddha Image in Myanmar. Proceed visit to Laykyun Setkyar standing Buddha Image, the 2nd tallest standing Buddha Image in the world. Enjoy your dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at the hotel in Monywa. 

 

Day 5

Monywa-Bagan by Car (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

After breakfast, start to Monywa morning market, and drive to Bagan(one of the greatest archeological sites). Along the way, visit Pho Win Taung, there are about 900 sandstone caves that contain many carved Buddha images and well-preserved mural paintings. Then continue to Pakkoku and lunch at a local restaurant. After that, continue to drive to Bagan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for about an hour by private air-conditioned vehicle. Arrive at Bagan, at the hotel and dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at Hotel in Bagan.

 

Day 6

Bagan Sightseeing (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Today in Bagan, have your breakfast at the hotel at 7 am. It starts sightseeing at 8 am. Explore the ancient temples, Htilominlo Temple-  the last Myanmar Style temple in Bagan, decorated with glazed sandstone tiles in green and yellow. Dhammayangyi Temple- the most massive structure temple in Bagan was built by King Narathu who was also called the Kalagya Min, the king was assassinated by Indians. Reach the lacquerware workshop, learn about the traditional Myanmar Lacquerware making process. There are many kinds of lacquerware such as plain lacquerware, incised lacquerware, gilt lacquerware, and glass mosaic gilt lacquerware. After leaving the workshop, the go-ahead to the restaurant for your delicious lunch. After lunch, take some time to rest at the hotel for daybreak. Wetkyi-In Gubyaukgyi Temple - with marvelous mural paintings of Jataka frescoes of scenes. Paya Thone Zu Temple Complex- consists of three temples conjoined through narrow passages, Min Nan Thu Village. Nan Paya Temple- was built in the 12th-century combination of sandstone and brick with intricate stone carvings. In the evening, enjoy the sunset from the Sunset Garden restaurant with a fine dinner. After dinner, return to your hotel and overnight in Bagan.

Day 7

Bagan-Yangon by Flight and Yangon Sightseeing (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and fly back to Yangon by domestic flight. Arrive back Yangon, start sightseeing to Kaba Aye (World Peace) Pagoda and Mahapasana Guha Cave, where the sixth Buddhist synod took place. Lunch at a local restaurant and explore to Bogyoke Aung San Market used to call Scott Market - a shopping market with more than 2000 shops selling all kinds of products like lacquerware, Gems, all sorts of handicrafts. The evening takes a walk to China Town where we can see the many vendors along the sidewalk & can buy a variety of Myanmar products. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at hotel in Yangon.

 

Day 8

Departure For Home (Breakfast)

After breakfast, leisure time to pursue individual interests until your transfer to the airport. Our guide will pick you up at the hotel and accompany you to the airport.
